Cool History Quizes(Four days of quizes, one day of facts)

Hello people of the present! I got some history quizes for ya! (I got these out of Horible Historys: The 20th century so if you want to see these quizes for yourself, go ahead!)

TV when your parents were kids (ask them these, see how many they get wrong! If they do get one wrong, say "Well, it was a very long time ago"!)
I think we all watch TV, right? Well, if you watch TV in your Grandparents house, I will not be surprised if they say "Television was far better when I was a child". So, if you can stop them boasting for at least five seconds, then you could ask them "Well can I ask you a few questions about TV when you were a child then?". Then ask them these questions:
1. Andy Pandy. First shown in 1950 and ran until 1970. How many Andy Pandy programmes were made? a) 26, b) 260, c) 2600.
2. Billy Bunter. Ran for ten years from 1952. Gerald Campion played the part of 16-year-old Billy Bunter even though his real age was..., a) 9, b) 19, c) 29.
3. Animal Heroes. In the 1950s  "Lassie" was the number-one heroine. But there were other heroes and heroines. Whitch is the odd one out? a) Rin-tin-tin, b) Lenny the Lion, c) Champion the Wonder Horse.
4. Long-distance soap Coronation Street started in 1960 and became a national faveourite. But it was mean to be called..., a) Florizel Street, b) Corporation Street, c) Alica Avenue.
5. Short Sheriff Tex Tucker was a puppet sheriff of Four Feather Falls. Two magic feathers allowed his guns to fire automatically when he was in danger. What did the other two feathers do? a) Tickle his enimies until they screamed for mercy and surrendered, b) Attach themselve to the wings of a bird and fly off to track down crooks, c) Give his horse and dog the power to talk to Tex and help him out.

ANSWERS:
1. a) only 26 Andy Pandy  programms were ever made. They were repeated endlessly for the next 20 years.
2. c) And by the and of the series he was 39. Of coarse it was only fair that a boy shold be played by and adult. After all, adults enjoyed the programme too. If was shown at 5:30pm for children and two hours later for parents.
3. b) Lenny the Lion was a puppet. The others were trained animals. For a bonus point you could ask what was Lenny's famous catch-phrase? Answer "Aw, don't embarrass me!"
4. a) The writer, Tony Warren, called it Florizel Street but they asked a tea-lady for her opinion. "Sounds like a sort of disinfectant" she sniffed. They changed it. They broadcast it a newspaper wrote the next day "The programme is doomed." Wrong!
5. c) The four feathers were given to Tex by an Indian. Dusty the Dog and Rocky the Horse enjoyed their little chats when they were being stroked by the magic feathers. Fortunately these feathers are not available in shops today. Imagine your dog telling you what it wants for dinner... or your horse yelling at car drivers who speed past its field!

Well, those are the questions for today. In three days I'll do another. Thanks for reading, and guessing!
